Dean Lap Chan was founded in 2025 and is based in London. It places a unique blend of craft, textiles, and culture at the forefront. Dean graduated from Central Saint Martins with an MA in Fashion in 2023 and received the Ports 1961 Scholarship during his MA.

 

The brand is a harmonious fusion of Asian and Western cultures. Growing up in colonial Hong Kong, Dean was shaped by a rich cultural tapestry and diverse education. This unique blend of Asian aesthetics and Western influences blurred the lines and shaped his perspective. The brand seeks to envelop customers in a Hong Kong-inspired 'The Great Gatsby' dreamscape, spanning the golden years from the 1960s to the 2000s of Hong Kong. This enchanting realm weaves together the threads of Western idealism, opulence, and liberation with the delicate hues of Eastern conservatism and nostalgic revival, creating a symphony of contrasts in perfect harm.

 

His collections were selected to showcase at DiscoveryLAB by The British Fashion Council on the official London Fashion Week schedule.
